installations > You Thirsty!

This piece is about class and the perception of Black ambition both outside and within the Black community. It deals with concepts of respectability politics, and the policing of whom and how Black people are to ascend the social ladder. This installation consists of three running figures, two in the front and one trailing behind. I want to play with the notion of is this figure being perceived as chasing the front two figures or is this figure falling behind in need of assistance.
